Hanae Bansemer
Hi everyone,
My name is Hanae Bansemer. I feel very blessed to be a part of the community at this preschool.
I completed my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care at Hornsby TAFE in 2016 and as part of my Professional Experience coursework, I attended St. Stephen’s Preschool. Since then I have had an opportunity to work here surrounded by beautiful children, families, teachers and staff.
This year I will be working with the Lorikeets on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. There may be times when I will also be working as relief on other days too.
I still remember my first day at St. Stephen’s preschool when I was a TAFE student. Everyone welcomed me warmly and I liked the preschool immediately. I learnt through experience that teachers/educators find each child’s uniqueness and interests, approach each child using their own techniques to guide the child’s development, use intentional teaching techniques/open-ended questions that give the children the opportunity to think and challenge themselves and never forget to congratulate the children when they achieve their goals. I am always amazed at how children can express and share their ideas and imagination with us.
A little bit about myself…
I moved to Australia in 2000 and I have been living in Hornsby area for 18 years. I moved to Berowra in September 2017. I am a mum of two children. Alicia is in year 12 and Nicholas is in year 10 this year. We had an opportunity to live in Auckland, New Zealand for my husband Justin’s work back in 2011, returning to Sydney in 2015. After we came back from NZ, Sammie, the Labradoodle, joined our family.
I love travelling, camping, bush walking, gardening, baking, cooking, and playing hide and seek with Sammie.
I look forward to seeing you all around the preschool in 2022!!
